DMCA Takedown Policy
Effective · Version 2026-05-14
WiseHQ respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content hosted on WiseHQ infringes your copyright, follow the procedure below to submit a takedown notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
1. Designated DMCA Agent
WiseHQ’s designated agent for receiving notifications of claimed copyright infringement is:
WiseHQ DMCA Agent
Email: dmca@getwisehq.com
Postal address: available upon written request to legal@getwisehq.com
To be effective under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), notifications must be submitted to the designated agent in writing.
2. What to include in a takedown notice
Your notice must include all of the following or it may not be actionable:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (e.g. the URL or file path inside WiseHQ).
- Your contact information (mailing address, telephone, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
3. What happens after we receive a notice
- We acknowledge receipt within 2 business days.
- We review the notice and may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material expeditiously.
- We notify the user who uploaded the material and provide them a copy of the takedown notice.
- We may, at our discretion, terminate the accounts of users who are repeat infringers.
4. Counter-notification
If you believe material was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to dmca@getwisehq.com containing:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed and the location at which it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which WiseHQ may be found).
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file an action seeking a court order against you within 10 business days, we may restore the material.
5. False claims
Section 512(f) of the DMCA imposes liability for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees, on any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing or that material was removed by mistake. Submit notices in good faith.
6. Repeat infringers
WiseHQ will, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, disable or terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
